What is KlickWeb all about? |
|
|
We are a Malaysian online community project created to encourage people to go online. From time to time, we will add useful features and functionality to this website to meet the needs of our users.
Our vision is to bring the best of the good the Internet can bring mankind to our members and our mission is to make KlickWeb one of the top online communities out there. In view of this, we want your help. Let's us work together and build a harmony and peaceful virtual world.

What do I need to become a member? |

Nothing. It is FREE! :)
Well, that's not really true, we need you to participate and help us build a great online community!

What is a KlickWeb colony? |
|
|
A colony is a group of people with similiar interest in KlickWeb.
Think of it as a mini community.
Basically, each colony will be given a FORUM and a PHOTO ALBUM (more services to come) from which members within that
colony can use. Recognizing that an individual can have many interest, likewise, a member can join as many colonies as he/she wishes.

How do I join a colony? |
|

Ah, the easy question. *grin*
Just sign-up as a member by clicking HERE and then using our SEARCH tool on your left, look
for a suitable colony to join. (To see all available colony, search for COLONY, leave the search keyword BLANK and click on the "Search" button.)
However, not all colony are for the "Public", meaning, you will need to be "accepted" by the owner of the colony before you can
join. [something like applying for a visa or citizenship in real life.] Colonies like these are labeled as "Private". But do not worry, I believe a good
colony operator knows a good member when they see one. Just click on the "apply" button and wait for the result.

What are forums and how do I join them? |
|
|
Forums are online message boards where members can post their questions and opinions to share and discuss with each other. When you join a certain colony, you are also entitled to use the forums belonging to that colony.

I want to share my pictures with my friends and family, how do I do it? |
|
|
You can share your pictures by uploading them to your colony's photo album. However, you need to have the proper rights. Currently, only colony "Founder" and "Administrators" are allowed to upload pictures.
To share you pictures with your own friends and family members, we would advise you to create a colony of your own (eg. MyFamily, etc) and being the "Founder", you can then
upload these pictures and share them with your friends and family.

What are credits and why would I want them? |
|
|
"Credits" are our way of rewarding members for their contribution or participation. These can in turn be used in exchange for services within the community.
However, all new members are given ample "credits" to start out with, so you needn't worry about not having enough credits.
For now, "credits" will mainly be used to determine member ranking within the community. Do take note however, that creating a colony costs a substantial
amount of credits. So please use this feature with caution. Click HERE for more details on credits.
